The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 requires that all fire safety equipment be “maintained in an efficient state, in efficient working order and in good repair”. Regular services should be carried out at least twice a year or quarterly depending on individual fire risk assessments. Fire extinguisher servicing

Fire extinguishers must be serviced every 12 months in in accordance with BS 5036-6. Even if they have not been used they should still be checked regularly to confirm that they will work when required. This will help to ensure the safety of anyone within your building.
