Surefire enter the Dragon’s Den with UltraGuard

Surefire have worked with Westminster City Council for a number of years installing and maintaining UltraGuard Personal Fire Protection Systems for their vulnerable residents who they have identified as being at risk of fire. As part of a new initiative to look at the latest assistive living technology, Westminster City Council were keen to get the important message out to the teams on the benefits of this type of system for their vulnerable residents.

Surefire were invited to an exciting Dragon’s Den style event where assisted living technology companies could showcase their product within a strict 5-minute pitch time to service users, ASC staff, care providers, housing, commissioners and senior managers. The event was opened by the Estates Director of Westminster Council and the local councillor. After each pitch the audience rather than declaring themselves “out” provided feedback for each supplier on their individual products.

This exciting event created interest from the teams who visit the residents and in particular after the completion of PEEP’s (personal emergency evacuation plans) would be in a better position to recommend life saving technology.
