Fire Risk Assessments

Fire Risk Assessments

Whilst Fire Risk Assessments are a requirement under The Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order (2005), it is critical to protect your employees and business in the event of a fire incident.  A written record must be completed if your business has more than 5 people.

During a fire risk assessment you will need to:-

  1. Identify the fire hazards.
  2. Identify people at risk.
  3. Evaluate, remove or reduce the risks.
  4. Record your findings, prepare an emergency plan and provide training.
  5. Review and update the fire risk assessment regularly.

You’ll need to consider: emergency routes and exits

  • fire detection and warning systems
  • fire fighting equipment
  • the removal or safe storage of dangerous substances
  • an emergency fire evacuation plan
  • the needs of vulnerable people, eg the elderly, young children or those with disabilities
  • providing information to employees and other people on the premises
  • staff fire safety training

We can help you to remain compliant by completing a fire risk assessment for you, with one of our approved fire risk assessors.   A fully comprehensive report containing all of the information you require to stay one step ahead of fire legislation and your local fire authority.

Every fire assessor has the knowledge and a minimum of 10 years field experience to complete your fire risk assessment to fire authority standards.
